Katie Stafiniak: Owner, Maker, Designer

Originally from Alberta, Canada, Katie graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Fiber in 2009. She moved to Dayton, Ohio in 2015 after meeting her husband at a music festival in Tennessee.

Professionally Katie has worked in sewing production stitching everything from vinyl physical therapy equipment to fuzzy mascot faces to thousands of yards of lycra. Her current work focuses on ethically responsible small production fashion and utilizing all leftover waste for future projects. Vibrant colours and comfort are at the core of her clothing. She also produces woven fabric, sewing labels, and hand embroidered patches for other creatives and sewing artists. She grows and collects marigolds for dyeing, embroiders while watching true crime, weaves on her 4 harness counter balance loom, and loves loves loves dancing. The rest of her time is spent with her husband, 2 cats, house plants, and thrift shops.
